Aitor Soroa, Eneko Agirre and Arantxa Otegi of PATHS have worked with Antoine Isaac of Europeana to propose a way of representing PATHS semantic enrichments in EDM (the Europeana Data Model).

When the PATHS project started in 2011 it adopted ESE as the representation schema of choice.  The project prepared an extension we called ESEPaths to hold the additional enrichment information being generated by PATHS Natural Language Processing.  The additional information includes links between items in the collection, items to external sources like Wikipedia, informativeness scores, vocabulary terms, event information and related items.

Since 2011 Europeana has introduced a richer metadata standard, EDM , which offers users more information.

Aitor Soroa, Eneko Agirre and Arantxa Otegi of PATHS have worked with Antoine Isaac of Europeana to propose a way of representing PATHS semantic enrichments in EDM (the Europeana Data Model). Their report introduces ESEPaths, proposes a roadmap for a simple conversion to EDM including some advanced solutions to the problems identified in the conversion process.
